I love books. That’s probably the reason my eyesight is so bad. I spent many hours as a child reading at the bottom of a poorly-lit staircase into the early hours of the morning until my mother would discover me and shoo me back to my room.

I love books for all the practical stuff - increasing my vocabulary, providing mental stimulation and improving my focus and concentration.

But the real reason I love books? They teach you something about yourself and the world. Books can give us the language to articulate our feelings, the knowledge to understand missing parts of ourselves, and the confidence to pursue our passions.
